Russia Megion International Judo Tournament Result - SONG DaeNam won a gold medal in men's -81kg division. 2008. 12. 6일 러시아 Megion시에서 개최된 제2회 러시아 Megion 국제유도대회에는 베이징올림픽에서 금메달을 획득한 BISCHOF OLE(독일)선수를 비롯하여 세계 각국에서 (-81kg급) 선수 16명이 출전하였으며 우리나라의 송대남(남양주시청)선수가 결승에서 러시아의 Nifontov Ivan선수를 업어치기 절반으로 승리하여 금메달을 획득하였습니다. 14th World Junior World Championships Report Day 4: With the astonishing number of 11 medals out of 14 categories, Japan reigned in this 14th Junior World Championships held in Bangkok for the last four days (23rd to 26th October). The Nippon team won 4 gold, 1 silver and 6 bronze. France was second with 2 gold and 2 silver and Brazil finished third with 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze. Mr. LEE Bang Geun of New York donated US$100,000 to KJA's president KIM Jung Haeng. 유도 원로 이방근씨, 유도회에 발전 기금 1억원 전달 (KJA 09.29)대 한유도회는 29일 재미 유도 원로 이방근(84)씨가 오전 10시 송파구 방이동 올림픽회관 내 유도회 사무실을 찾아 김정행 회장에게 유도 발전 기금 1억원을 내놨다고 밝혔다. 이방근씨는 대한유도회 공인 9단이며 현재 미국 뉴욕에서 대규모 유도장을 운영하고 있는 유도 원로로 "한국 유도 발전과 우수 선수 육성에 써달라"며 1억원을 쾌척했다.함경남도 함흥시 영생중학교 재학 시절 유도를 시작한 이방근 씨는 고려대 유도부 주장으로 활약했으며 1976년 미국으로 떠났다가 17일 종로구 세종로 세종문화회관에서 열린 세계유도동호인총회에 참석하기 위해 한국을 찾았다.

World Judo Team Championships - The 2008 edition of the Team World Championships is going to be held in Tokyo, Japan, October 3-6. There will be 8 teams competing in the men’s competition and 8 in the women’s competition. The European Judo Union and the Judo Union of Asia will both have two teams representing them, whilst the African Judo Union, the Pan-American Judo Union and the Oceania Judo Union will each have one team to represent their continents. The current democratic Korean Government was established sixty years ago. Forty Koreans living abroad have been invited to attend the celebration for a period of 4 days before and after August 15 in Korea. 2008 Asian Judo Championship

The 2008 Asian Judo Championships took place in Jeju, Korea, on the 26th and 27th of April. Given the importance of the competition, which was a qualifying event for the Olympic Games, the level of judo was a high one and the event was catalogued as a success.

Besides the very good organization and the high number of participants, the Championships offered to the world of judo a very interesting and most of all important moment for Olympic Qualification.

Mr. Marius Vizer, the President of the International Judo Federation was present at the event and on the occasion of the awarding ceremony, he offered an IJF Golden Medal to Mr. Obaid Al-Anzi – President of the Judo Union of Asia and another IJF Golden Medal to Mr. Kim Jung Haeng – President of the Korean Judo Federation.
